Comfort Quilts for Cancer Patients

September 29, 2012 Bethel QUILTers is holding a Coffee and Silent Action from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 333 Davis Drive, Newmarket in order to raise funds to purchase materials to continue creating comfort quilts for cancer patients in our community.  In 2011 they created and distributed 61 quilts.  There are a number of quilts that you may bid on as well as smaller quilted items such as table runners, bags and cards for a set price. Coffee and refreshments will be available for a donation.

Bethel QUILTers in 2011

In 2011 the Bethel QUILTers created and distributed 61 comfort quilts to individuals undergoing cancer treatment. The group meets every Wednesday afternoon from 12:30-3:30 at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Newmarket. Donations of fabric and money are received in order to make this ministry possible. The Church also supports the group by providing funds to purchase batting, thread and some material. Following are a few of the ones given to individuals.
